The website and business had reasonable success locally however needed a holistic SEO strategy that could allow them to drive more website traffic, bookings and walk-ins from the surrounding local areas, with a particular focus on Melbourne CBD related searches which carried large search volumes.
Approach
SIXGUN developed a local SEO strategy that would not only target the immediate location of West Melbourne but also the surrounding areas, Melbourne CBD in particular.
This began with thorough keyword research in collaboration with the Good Marks Tattoo team to ensure we focused on their primary tattoo styles and services that could lead to business growth.
Following this we conducted a technical audit with subsequent optimisations to set the foundation for a successful campaign including notable improvements across page speed, CRO & mobile optimisation. We then set about optimising and developing target page content with alignment to the keyword strategy to better support local areas such as the CBD. Steady high-quality link acquisition has also supported this to improve the website authority and link profile over the course of the campaign.
Results
SEO (June 2024 vs January 2025):
- 211% increase in organic sessions.
- 182% increase in organic key events / website conversions.
- 3,282 increase in ranking performance for tracked keywords, including bringing the following terms onto page 1:
